About Us
Manju Shahul-Hameed Foundation for Mental Health is a well-established charity (Reg. Charity No. 1176447) founded in 2017. Our mission is to raise awareness, combat the stigma surrounding mental illness, and promote mindfulness. We strive to unite diverse communities across Croydon and the UK, fostering empathy and support for those facing mental health challenges.
Our primary goal is to relieve sickness and promote well-being among individuals residing in or temporarily staying in the London Borough of Croydon and surrounding areas. We achieve this by offering preventive services such as meditation and mindfulness to address underlying relapsing conditions, including stress, anxiety, anger and depression.
What We Do
The relief of sickness and the preservation of health among people residing permanently or temporarily in London Borough of Croydon and surrounding areas in particular but not exclusively by providing preventive services including meditation and mindfulness to deal with the underlying relapsing conditions, such as stress, anxiety, anger, and depression.
Our Vision
We envision a future where living with mental illness is not a lifelong struggle, a source of shame, or a path to isolation. Many individuals suffer in silence, feeling lonely, vulnerable, and unseen. Our charity seeks to bridge this gap by encouraging community engagement, mutual support, and a sense of belonging, helping people lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Our Mission
Our mission is to break the stigma surrounding mental health and raise awareness. We focus on three key areas in our community efforts:
• Mindfulness – Encouraging practices that enhance mental well-being.
• Intergenerational Care – Building connections between different age groups for mutual support.
• Feeding the Homeless – Providing meals and support to those in need.
